Todays prompt is CURIOUSITY. I have hand drawn and pencil coloured an eye.
It is a little dark as I have worked it on cream paper.

January 1st-7th complete and Book Tower
Afternoon lovely people. I must say I am truly amazed at all the fabulous creations you are all posting over in the Facebook Group, so truly Inspiring.
Well I have completed my Book Tower.
And here is a close up of the top panel.
I went with a mystical theme and used gold crackle paste through a stencil.
For my mini books I have decided to go with the monthly theme for the covers, The weekly theme for the inserts and the daily prompts for the pages. So here is Januarys book and the first week of pages completed. I have kept to the same colour theme for all the pages by creating a master board background to cut all my pages from and then attach them to the concertina fold out in each of the inserts. Stamping added and then the word of the daily prompt. Make Sense?
Ice Book.
Inserts.
Day 1 Daily Prompt- Beginnings.
Day Two Daily Prompt- Lacy
Day Three Daily Prompt- Courage
Day Four Daily Prompt- Breath
Day Five Daily Prompt- Hope
Day Six Daily Prompt- Graffiti
Day Seven Daily Prompt- Star
So my first week completed. Will be back to post the second weeks pages.
Have fun all and happy creating

7th January 2020
Hi there,
Celia here with my ‘star’ page.
I painted the background dark blue then heat embossed some tiny stars in silver, using some stars from Lavinia Stamps. I found a nice star in my Tando mini’s and wet it so I could peel off a thin layer, then embossed this with gold when it was dry.

I found the quote in my Tim Holtz stickers book and assembled the page. The shooting star tail is just drawn on with a gold pen.
Thanks!

4th January 2020
Hi there, Celia here with today’s daily word.
I wanted to use distress oxides so I applied them with a tiny piece of wax paper, instead of dabbing the page. This seemed to work well.
I stamped a dandelion (not very well 😬) and drew in some seeds, then glued on ‘breath’ which I printed from my computer.

Snowflake book
Hi! Karen here with my 1st little book! Sorry the pics are gloomy, it was very dark and chucking it down here yesterday!
For the cover I spread some modelling paste through the mini snowflake stencil. I painted the whole book pale blue and then replaced the stencil to paint the snowflakes white. Although you can't see it here I added some clear glitter to the snowflakes. I glued the organza ribbon onto the inside before I sewed in the folders.
These were painted in the same blue and white paint was added through the stencil. I am up to date with my prompts as you can see.....

For today we have COURAGE.

2nd January 2020
Hi, Celia here with our 2nd daily word.
I remembered I had this steampunk lace stamp so it’s a perfect time to bring it out.
I first made a purply pink background, then hand wrote the word.
then stamped with white embossing powder. I used a small brush to remove the powder around the word before heat setting it.
I’ve also done the weekly word, Curiosity. I took inspiration from Alice in Wonderland. I made a quick background with green and white chalk paints and stamped a small amount of crackle.
I’ve stamped the cat onto rice paper, as I don’t trust myself to get it right in the book! I applied this with matte medium, then stamped the word with my alphabet stamp set.
Looking forward to seeing your ‘words’!

1st January 2020
Hi there, and Happy New Year!
Celia here with my first pages of this exciting challenge.
I decided to use the monthly word ‘Iced’ on my first page. I used some icy blue colours and monoprinted a few bits of texture, stamped some icicles from my christmas stamps and then added some crackle with a stamp. Then some icy embossing powder round the edge. I stamped my words with a little alphabet stamp set. A bit wonky but never mind!
For my daily word, I did a sort of sunrise wash with fluid acrylics
And typed the word onto rice paper.
I wanted to keep it simple as it’s a nice simple, easy word. I used a flowery background stamp and scribbled round the edge with a crayon to finish.
It’s quite challenging to work so small, and the other pages can get in the way for stamping, but I’m sure we’ll find way’s around and have loads of fun in the coming year.
